  1. Order to close at 2 at 105 26 and 2 at 105 24.

Looking to close ZN's as well at equivalent price.

  2. Do you buy bid or buy ask?:)

  3. OK, so do I have to raise or lower my limit? Of course.

  4. Well, here we go again, 2 - 3 hours of a narrow 4 tick range. This is the reason why I try to get out within the first hour, followed by second hour, and finally as a last resort, the third hour of trading.

Wasting 3 hours of your life watching a 4 tick range will make you seriously question your desire to pursue trading for a living.

  5. Agree 100%! But the bias is still down ;-)

Out of curiosity, this morning, after 0900CST news, your bias was up. What made you change your mind to go short?

  6. Lunch time in Chicago! Look forward to another hour of wasted time. Although now it looks like we may hit 105 26 for half off.

  7. Bought 2 ZB's 105 26 1204
    Bought 8 ZN's 104 080 1206

Per my earlier post, I had sold the ZB's at 105 30 and the ZN's at 104 100.

    Still short 2 ZB's. Looking for 105 24. Looks like 108 lots sold at 105 24, but my 2 weren't in there.

  8. 1213 CST Closed last 2 ZB's at 105 27. While prices may go down to 105 24 again, they came back to 105 27, and I just didn't like the action.

  9. Lack of price action follow through past 106 00. The 00's are very important price points. I wrote about them earlier in the first pages of this journal. In addition, 106 03 was major resistance. Finally, 5 min chart was showing indicator divergence, and the NN was negative.

  10. OK, calling it a day here. I'm too tired to look at my details for today, but obviously I have a loss due to yesterdays overnight trade.

The sad fact is, if it weren't for the position held overnight, I would have had a solid day. The reason why this is sad is that for the past year I think I may have held a position overnight 1 other time. In other words, holding is not my area of expertise. Over the last 2 weeks there were plenty of other opportunities to hold, the 9th or so down day is not really the one. :(

Yes, looking at today only from 0720 to now 1220, there was definitely money to be made, both from the long side initially, followed by the short side later.

UPDATE: 1229 CST Now this is interesting, I had a 1230 time cycle that I didn't bother to take into account. We just hit 105 23 here on the 1230 5 minute bar chart.
