Today is the day to make up for all the chop and small profits over the last 5 days. Carpe diem! By the way, let's have some comments today, let me know what you think about market direction.
Huh? Trading within 4-6 ticks of EMP stat volty numbers is unique? Lose the hype, otherwise a solid journal.
If you took the short at 112 19, exit 1/2 at 112 15. Remember how they took us back up within minutes in previous days. Hold 1/2 for re-test of lows.
surdo, Excellent work! Geesh, a short at 103 08! riskarb, Just having a little fun. It is all free. Thanks for compliment on the journal. All, It looks like we want to head lower, but it sure is having trouble.
112 12 is the pivot in case you're wondering about the trouble here. Seems like every day this week you could have bought at 112 12 for a solid 4 - 6 tick move up. Wow, while posting we hit 112 06. I'm out at 112 07! Standing aside.
Two trades today, one when we broke through 112 23, after the report, short at 112 21 and out at 112 15. Second just now short at 112 15 roughly 10 minutes ago, and out at 112 07. I'm posting these after the fact because I've been a little slow on trading my 1/2 target objective over the last 2 weeks due to the distraction of posting here and maintaining a time stamp. Today of all days I don't want to be distracted by posting.
There may be a short here between 112 10 and 112 15. I'm standing aside. 2 solid trades in a row and I become cautious. I may take a trade, but it had better meet all criteria. Don't give back what you made!
Curious to know if any intra day traders bought at 112 04 to 112 07? I personally would have loved to, BUT I've found, generally speaking, especially on a 1 full point move day, I trade better with the trend, i.e. only taking shorts today, hence looking to short between 112 10 to 112 15 or higher even.
I still haven't gone short. The low pivot today was 112 03. I'm going to put in a sell at 112 21 for two reasons. First it is one of my numbers, and second, it is the pivot point for today. Let's see what happens. Say, wouldn't it be 100% in keeping with market activity if we tested the highs at 113 and change?
