  1. Jeez, I wonder if the dollar collapse had anything to do with his recant. What a tool.

I hope Bernanke continues being a tool, at least the markets are more exciting than with good, old Easy Al, no one falling asleep anymore at the semi-annual testimony before Congress.

  3. Sounds like what we need to stop the inflation premium from building up more.

Lost a few ticks today GG, but I see the hourly chart has bullish divergence now where it before it looked downward. I will keep my stop in the high 103's for now.--TYM6

  7. Didn't know if this is the right place to post this but I was wondering if anyone
here was trading the options on zn electronically and what the fills are like. I have been trading the pit options but wanted to get cheaper commish by going electronic. typical trade size would be 200- 400 at a clip puts and calls spreads. what is the size for otm? right now I'm getting $5 r/t pits, electronic is $3 r/t. I know the pit is liquid but what about otm electronic?
since I'm a writier the savings will add up quite alot for for me but it does not make a difference if the fills aren't there.
    does anyone trade these electronically?

    regards

I am down on the floor and am a big fan of the electronic options. If you are a retail trader the screen is probably the best place for you, as the markets are just as liquid on the screen as they are in the pit, because virtually the same traders make the markets on both. If you are trading over 100 lots I would still send your order to the floor, that way the broker can work the order and you don't necessarily need to show your size (well worth the extra $2 per round turn). If you don't mind me asking who is your current broker? I can recommend some good desks down there. Also be wary if you are trading on the screen that if you are using EDF Man, your order may be crossed internally or at a different market than the pit so they can get their double brokerage. If you are trading complex strategies the pit gets the job done just as quickly as the screen, with increased liquidity. If you are trading outrights and standard spreads on a small scale (say less than 50 lots) I would use the screen, it is holding its own these days.

  9. thanx for the reply mcurto. yes I am currently with Rand and Man. The reason I ask is that with ratios and 1:1 spreads I know the pit can get it done. But I haven't traded otm screens so I can't compare how the fills would be. Plus l'm lazy and I don't like legging so I generally spread it. I guess i'll give i a try.

  10. Shivastar,

Mcurto's the man around here. Fills us in on the happenings in the bond pit on a regular basis.

I trust every word he says. I think we all do :)
