It is a real pity to have lost Tony's contributions to this thread and board. I hope Baron can reconsider his decision. I am certain many members would agree that bringing him back positively adds a different perspective to the subjects being discussed but also elevates the site's relevance about the quality of it's contributors, giving ET a better competitive edge against it's competitors. Cheers Tony !! Hope you are doing ok and make it back soon !!
I tend to think that the lack of vol and stable swap spreads is due to the fall-off in ABS issuance. The issuers are the primary players in hedging and if their books are smaller then you see less pressure on swaps/vol. I guess I would argue that at the âmarginâ it is a mitigating factor. It sounds like the threat of a squeeze in 2yr notes added some meaningless noise into last weeks trading. I am skeptical of the Fed now looking more hawkish after their recent statements. I think it would be very interesting to see if markets start to seize up with some event (EM contagion, sell-off in commodities/stocks, ect.), and then does the Fed emphasize inflation is the enemy? I think not, and then the vigilantes punish âGentle Benâ.
It means he's with you. "Hear, hear!" is still used at the Parliament (lanboy is from Canada), meaning "Hear, all ye good people, hear what this brilliant and eloquent speaker has to say!"
I do not mean to rock the boat with the owner of Elite Trader, but I would like an explanation from the moderator of this thread or from Baron why Tony Caldaro is banned from this site? He never tried to sell me anything and I have been a loyal follower since inception. This is one of the rare threads that has NO flaming and you can actually enhance your trading through the various contributors. I think you at least owe us an explanation.
