Actually now one trader can do pit/screen arbitrage by himself in the CBOT pits with a hand-held.. The CBOT is encouraging their use for arb purposes in all of the pits.

  5. Lock and Load Men! Contact could be imminent!

As you guys know the Bondalero's are getting their face ripped off again. Spreads are widening. This is just the kind of thing that could cause a MAJOR malfunction somewhere.

    Repeat after me: "OTC Derivatives"

I can feel these guys sweating bullets again. Their voices crack when I talk to them on the phone.

Be careful, it is August and it could get ugly

Should be fun either way though

pull up a daily chart of TNX and notice the 10 year yield pull back to the 20 day moving average of 4.19 on 8/8/03 and now it bounced back up almost to the recent high of 4.56-4.592. Lets see if it can make a new high shortly.

Some are saying that yields won't peak until the Fed initiates its first tightening probably in 2004. That has been the historical pattern of yields topping out.

I don't know the answer and thats why I'm a trader, not an analyst :D

I'm surprised there hasn't been more of a concession in price of some of the major money center banks. It should be clear that those 2nd quarter trading profits are going to erode as quickly as they came. In fact if I was a shareholder I'd be more concerned with solvency than a dip in profits!

  10. I sure hope so, I want to buy some muni's .
Based on today's action I think they got majority of longs out , tomorrow i think there will be a morning rally and then selloff at just about a noon . If Bonds do not stop at 104, next stop is 100 .
