    1) US Defense budget is $450Billion. An attempt is made to gain savings by $75 Billion a year by freezing several out in the future programs, reducing the aid given to nations like South Korea, Japan, Germany, not adding any high ticket items like B-2 bomber which costs $600m or new submarines costing $1 Billion, star wars or space programs that no one has the capability or interest to match.

AT THE SAME TIME IMPLEMENTING A TOTAL TOTAL TOTAL TECHNOLOGY EXPORT FREEZE SO THAT NATIONS LIKE CHINA, FRANCE, RUSSIA AND OTHER MAJOR POWERS ARE NOT ABLE TO CLOSE GAP BETWEEN US AND THEIR CAPABILITIES.

    2) Make prisons hard places, not AC equipped playgrounds. Targeted savings $25 Billion a year even if it requires sending the prisoners to Mexico so that their maintenance cost is not $42K but $10K a year per prisoner.

    3) Cut government spending drastically. There are several wasteful programs that can be taken out without even general populations taking a notice. Target $25 Billion

    4) Tax the MNCs that send the jobs overseas to China, India etc. by another 5-10% on the business costs saved from outsourcing.

    5) Find a way to earn tax revenues from those corporations that are based in Tax Havens. John Templeton, the mutual fund guru is not even a US Citizen now. Several richies who earn 100s of millions a year do not pay a penny of taxes to US government.

The target is $250 Billion annual savings to be channeled to servicing the debt and bring the economic house in order, and secure programs like Social security and save them from going bankrupt. I believe this target is well within the reach and is not too biteful to long term interests.

  2. Excellent Commentary...

    Add:

This can be done with a stroke of a pen...and can reduce all prices in the US by more than 30%...

Eliminate ¨legal largesse¨....penalize people not companies...

    Eliminate the IRS...establish a 15% consumption tax...which will be reduced to 7% over 15 years....eliminates bureacratic importance.......

For all or part of these changes to be seriously considered you need some honest politician(s),independently thinking,UNinvolved with the different interests groups benefiting from all those programs...people ready to to confront eventual voter "backlash" and interest groups("lobby groups") counter attacks...can you point to some/any politician(s) ?
