Everyone who has to work for a living in the US has gotten much poorer over the years as well.

Back in 1970 you could buy over 250 ounces of gold with the average yearly US household income (pre tax).
Now you can buy less than 50 ounces.

Same sort of ratio if you use the S&P 500. What percentage of the total S&P 500 could you buy back then with one years salary vs today. Probably just one fifth or even less.

Great if you own assets, or get an inheritance, but sucks if you have to work for a living and don't have anything left over to build wealth.

  3. On the plus side, plenty of cushy toilet cleaning jobs have opened up now that they've kicked out the Poles.
#Bregret-- pretty dry header in the first link-- "leaves many wondering if..." o_O

IMO the massive surge in so-called Populism around the world ca 2016 was part of Putin's GRU World Destabilization Initiative, which from a cost benefit analysis, was a smashing success.
FArage, BoJo, #Calexit guy fleeing to Moscow, Butina infiltrating NRA becomes a member of RU Parliment, Yuri Milner owning Facebook, Moldovan troll farms, etc etc, all designed to destabilize the Western World. Can't get your own Country's @#$ together? Find the cracks elsewhere and lever up the chaos. Riling up rubes for fun and profit, Cold War II.

  5. As BoJo literally said "We will have our cake and eat it too". He (UK) wanted all the benefits and none of the responsibilities, then misled the rubes as to the value of the UK to EU block.

BoJo: "We will leave if you don't give us everything we want".

    EU: " well-bye-animated-gif.gif "

BoJo (clears throat): "...ahem, perhaps I did not make myself clear..."

Good thing Britain left instead of getting all the benefits of contributing to the EU budget for the rest of the freeloaders. https://www.statista.com/chart/18794/net-contributors-to-eu-budget/

Now we can have new members like Croatia who just joined EU to take up these responsibilities:
