  1. Sorry, but I messed up trying to split the posts not related to his selling the car to a thread in chit chat called "cars, snow traction, reliability, etc". Only some of the posts made it (no posts were deleted, they are just split between two threads):

Please make further posts there as this thread has moved too far off topic to remain in the main forum area.

    Thanks.

Jaguar xj8 came top for reliability on Top Gear. They are not very big inside I much prefer e class merc. You just feel they are built for larger people and you get the feeling you can invade Poland when you sit in it! http://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear/prog16/survey.shtml
Top Gear have been raving about the fast Audi rs4 and rs6 and they hate the new bmw looks but like the z4.

Sorry but I would never believe that. I would believe Cramer first and that's not saying much.

  5. It's been decades since Jaguar was not great in the quality department. It just goes to show how long it takes for a bad reputation to be let go of by the public.

Ford bought Jag in 1988 I believe. My last Jag was an '87 XJ6 which I sold to a friend and now has upwards of 200,000 miles on it. Original engine and trans, only got tires and brake pads. That's it. I've never owned a car like it. If trading stays on track I"m looking at a new XJR for xmas '04.

For snow driving you want a 911 - the engine weight over the rear axle gives it great traction, especially when driving uphill.

  7. Please make further posts to the chit chat thread. I don't want to close this thread in case there are any relevant questions for the originator, but this thread can't continue like this.

    Thanks.

Generally Europeans build great motors the problem is with most other parts from other manufacturers.

  9. Please make inquiries about the automobile for sale through PM to the thread originator.

Please make further posts about cars to the thread in chit chat (the URL is a few posts above this one) or make a new thread in chit chat.

    Thanks.
