BLOOMBERG: GOVERNMENT KNOWS BEST, CITIZENS SHOULD GIVE UP RIGHTS

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said on Sunday: Sometimes government does know best. And in those cases, Americans should just cede their rights.
“I do think there are certain times we should infringe on your freedom,” Mr. Bloomberg said, during an appearance on NBC. He made the statement during discussion of his soda ban — just shot down by the courts — and insistence that his fight to control sugary drink portion sizes in the city would go forth.

BLOOMBERG should be beaten hung drawn and quartered.

  4. I recall several people here thinking he would be an excellent republican nominee for president. Middle of the road guy who was socially liberal and financially conservative.

Uhh...turns out he is worse than Bush or McCain. At least those two dolts only wanted to invade foreign countries. Bloomberg wants to turn our own country into a concentration camp.

Christie is another RINO who worries me.

Today's IBD had an article about the nazi. They came out and called him exactly what he is: a tyrant.

What a load of shit, christie was the first person to address the heart of the problem, government unions, pensions, and salaries, he took on the teachers union when it was considered no mans land, and all republicans were far too cowardly to do it, and his popularity went up as a result, in a heavily blu state, look how many followed in his footsteps, and the strides that were made as a result of christie.... kasich, walker, daniels, various other people took apart government unions as a direct result of christie.

Basically, if you are concerned about the economy and want someone who will come in and take the necessary steps to fix it, vote for christie.

If you are more concerned about gay rights, and abortion, and various other trivial social issues vote for Santorum, hed be a real winner.

If you care about the deficit, the debt, and the solvency of america vote for christie, hes the only one with the balls to do anything about it.

  7. the labels social liberal and fiscal conservative don't mean much, even our resident socialists call themselves such things. It's necessary, for every American, to get informed about where every politician being considered for anything, stands on major issues. Imagine if our choice for President was between this tool and onazi?

He's a loose cannon. I hope Rand Paul hangs in there, and gets the nomination.

Maybe he is, but ill take a loose cannon over a gutless pussy who wont speak up, I like Rand too, i just want someone with the balls and the conviction to do something, i.e. christie or rand.

Rubio already strikes me as a well seasoned politician willing t do or say anything in order to win elections.

Dont even get me started on that ass hat jeb bush, he is grossly underestimating the disdain from conservatives for both his brother and his familyh name...

Christie lost me when he went skipping down the beach with Obama hand in hand.

I wasn't impressed when I saw him almost get into a fist fight with a shopper at the mall either.

He would have to really start doing something special to get me back in his camp.
