Bloomberg API

  1. Hello,

is there any user of the Bloomberg API around ? I think before I ask the BB reps I just ask here...

I need an internet based solution for quotes, US + american Futures and Equity Cash Markets, with a pro-level API for quotes and time&sales.

Has anyone an idea what this costs for a Bloomberg system ? I am informed the station costs $1600 and they require 12 months contracts... do they charge extra for the API ?

Interesting. I did not know Bloomberg had an API.

I would be interested in the answer as well.

  3. BB has several API types. They are listed at their website. However, they do not mention costs and by the information given it is difficult to determine which one I would need.

I am generally pleased with pure TCP/IP solutions, but ActiveX or COM would also be ok.

  4. The API comes with the service. They have plenty of online and on-site seminars. The reps will visit you as often as you want.
