    Washington, D.C., April 2, 2013 — The Securities and Exchange Commission today issued a report that makes clear that companies can use social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter to announce key information in compliance with Regulation Fair Disclosure (Regulation FD) so long as investors have been alerted about which social media will be used to disseminate such information.
     
  2. several funds i am aware of already mine the twitter universe for ideas, trends but is it really a value add to Bloomberg?
     
  3. That might not be the point. Having twitter will be a step ahead of Berkshire. The geezer is griping - this is good.:D he's going to lose money..boo hoo.:D
     
  4. Mining trends makes sense, but I too doubt Twitter itself adds value.

    Twitter can have valuable news feeds. Bloomberg already shows newsfeeds from other sources: websites, blogs, etc.

    This is they ensuring they control the information pipes of wall street.
