From the polling data it is clear that Bloomy has already answered the question of whether you can buy your way into the election. Regardless of whether he can buy the final prize, he has already bought up a good chunk of real estate in the polls, and has sucked up that 15 or more percent that some other candidate might need to compete with Bernie by adding that 15% (still growing rapidly) to their current number. What a mess. I heard several dems talking so venomously about Bloomberg that it almost sounded like they hated him more than Trump. But then I caught myself, and got a grip. I was driving back form a ski trip yesterday so I was listening to satellite radio. I heard his campaign spokesman trying to defend some of his record. Bloomberg has some heavy duty nyc elitist "superiority complex" comments to defend vs farmers and workers. his spokesman was trying to spin them into comments designed to understand their plight and offers solutions. The misdirection was so obvious it almost seemed like a parody of spin. The spin might work for the true believers... but... Anyone who lived or lives on the east coast and experiences the migration to the south knows that half of north east moves down to south east with that same I watch ________ (yankees) or I lived in North East and so I know more about ________ (baseball) than you and everyone else here... attitude. to paraphrase Bloomberg... Farming is easy... so I know everything there is to know about farming... and you do know nothing about the information economy... so you are ignorant and I am from New York. I liked Bloomberg until he proposed a FTT today. Now he's cow towing to the left. Why? I don't know. He was doing just fine running as the pragmatic centrist.
