I started a deathwatch for companies that I think will file/fail within 12 months. First on the list is BBI blockbuster. I do not have an axe to grind with them and I am currently a customer. As I wrote yesterday - Blockbuster put on my death watch. With NFLX moving further in front in the online delivery format, no adult format in the local stores (the most profitable category) along with a other online delivery of movies like HULU we could see whats left of BBI implode within 12 months. Its clear all the smart money has already left the stock and with the write downs on the balance sheet its hard to imagine more financing is going to be directed towards this dog or that it would do anything more than delaying whats to come.
