block trading...how is it?

  1. Point One... Its not really an assumption since there is NO service that tells you which side initiated the trade. I just didn't want anyone to be confused into thinking there is some info out there they're missing. Data can be interpreted in a myriad of ways but NO data tells you which side initiated the trade.

    You make a good point IMO that the mumbo jumbo about supposed 100k share trades and points of profit or 50/50 charitable account trades has no bearing on the original question of the thread starter.


    Sorry for getting off track. Again I just thought it was important for people not to be confused into thinking that data was out there.

  4. Correct. I hear buy side was timestamped even seconds, Sellside, odd seconds.

    Sure. When you fantasy trade yesterday's charts or even older ones, you may be able to know from press reports, SEC filings, etc., who the buyers/sellers WERE.
