You’re the biggest purveyor of US bigotry and name calling on this board and a self proclaimed expert in US political science. You post far more US political threads and make more incendiary judgement statements than anyone else in recent memory - but you do not live in the US, you do not vote in the US, you are not a US citizen. Don’t preach to anyone about credibility.

Did you draw a trendline on me to figure all this out? Stick to Edwards & Magee, you are out of your depth when it comes to anything remotely sophisticated.

Is it true or not what bone wrote that "you do not live in the US, you do not vote in the US, you are not a US citizen"?

Yea sure, a guy peddling 'trading training' to noobs is just the kind of person you would think is 'right'. Who woulda have thunk that a Trump University Dean worshipper would come to that conclusion. :D:D

I only had to read the first page to come across what could render the whole study moot. If this assumption is wrong or only partly wrong, it could throw off the results.

The key assumption of our empirical design is that cases are randomly assigned to judges within the same district court, in particular to Republican-appointed versus Democratic-appointed judges. This assumption allows us to infer that any differences in disparities by political affiliation are not the product of differences in observed and unobserved case characteristics across judges.

The other thing I would point out, the whole basis of their study was to confirm what they already believe, regardless what the data showed. I'll bet you any amount you want that if this "study" had found the opposite...Dem judges were more harsh on minorities, this "study" never would have been published.

Just read the introduction. No discussion whatsoever that blacks commit a disproportionate amount of criminal offenses relative to their population.

    Exactly. From the "study":

"The precise reasons why these disparities by political affiliation exist remain unknown and we caution that our results cannot speak to whether the sentences imposed by Republican or Democratic-appointed judges are warranted or 'right.'"

Given 1) that DOJ data shows blacks commit crime at vastly disproportionate rates (almost 8X higher than whites for homicides for example) and 2) demrat pandering and unwillingness to enforce laws (sanctuary cities for example) it's far more likely the demrats were not strict enough.

    Also from the "study":

"We note that the magnitude of our main result is halved when we control for the application of a mandatory minimum."

So there goes half of it and laws are racist. Give me a break.

Do you Cons know that whites commit disproportionate amount of criminal offenses against children, going by that logic, if a police officer sees a white man walking down the road with a child, he should immediately shoot that person suspecting them of being a child molester.

Not according to the the FBI they don't. Blacks are roughly 13% of the population and commit twice their share, while whites are in line with their percentage of the total population. https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2012/crime-in-the-u.s.-2012/tables/43tabledatadecoverviewpdf

But since you don't understand 4th grade math and are obsessed with pedophiles, I can see how you'd get this backwards. :D
