Blacks are nothing more than monkeys - so say Al Sharpton

  1. White sheets are still worn by KKK members, but as a tradition. Not out of fear of public identification.

Why should blacks now be mad at white people for what happened 150 years ago? I don't hate Japanese people just because their people bombed Pearl Harbor in the 1940's. Why should I?

So at this point, are you saying it's okay for me to hate Japanese people because some of them attacked my ancestors and conducted sick torture on their American POWs? You should read about some of the shit they did..made them Germans look like little bitches in the torture arena.

So it's okay for me to be angry and hate them for that, even though pretty much everyone responsible for those atrocities aren't even alive anymore...I should just hold the entire race accountable for all eternity?

Why don't you ever stand up and attack Sharpton for his racist comments when he makes them? Are you white? If so, do you hate yourself for it?

I agree, it's easy to see how someone with confirmation bias could construe that cartoon as racist.

BUT- If you are going to attack someone for something you consider racist, then make sure you keep it fair and unbiased. Pipe up when you see ignorant black leaders making racist remarks as well, not just whites.

Instead of saying I don't feel bad about slavery..I should have said I don't feel guilty. I feel extremely bad about the atrocities around the world. I think all races of humanity are all equally worthless, with a few good representatives here and there. Humans in general are fucked up. So you are right, I should have clarified. I do feel bad about any unfair and fucked up situation in the world, but I DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT FEEL GUILTY ABOUT SLAVERY BECAUSE I DID NOT PARTICIPATE.

You can't go throw someone in jail just because their dad did something illegal. You can't blame me just because SOME (and I mean relatively very few) white people owned slaves 150 years ago. So I don't owe any black person shit and they don't owe me shit. People need to STFU and focus on the real problems we are facing like disease, possible nuclear war, etc.

It sucks that it happened, but remember- white people are no more guilty than the black African chieftans who sold them the slaves.

  4. We seem to agree far more than we disagree. I am not blaming anyone for the sins of their forefathers. I am pointing an accusatory finger at those who stoke the flames unncessarily and senselessly. As for the black/white thing, although I don't feel guilt for something I did not do, I understand a lingering sensitivity that may exist. It is like a wound that heals slowly and requires little to inflame it. Imagine if your forefathers had been enslaved. Take a moment and picture the horror of it. Now consider the people who to this day make light of it. You need to recognize that it remains a sensitive chapter in America's history. Even the Republican Colin Powell, who voted for Obama on the issues, broke down and cried because a black man had been elected into the nation's highest office. This river runs deep, Reaver. I respect that.

  6. "Imagine if your forefathers had been enslaved. Take a moment and picture the horror of it."

Imagine being starved in a potatoe famine around the same period, 1/3rd of your nation starved, 1/3 has to leave forever, when your country is actually exporting grain

It's something my people never ever thought about until we got SICK of being asked to apologise for decades on end for something our ancestors HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH, because 'we dont know what it's like to suffer'

we dont know what it's like to COMPLAIN for generations, i guess that's 'mighty white' of us

    FUCK YOU!!!!!!

  10. "FUCK YOU!!!!!!"

It just occurred to me that when the Catholic priests began to perform the exorcism on Regan in "The Exorcist" one of the first responses from the demon controlling Regan upon the reading of the exorcism ritual and dousing with holy water by the priests was for the demon to foully swear reactively at the priest...

I guess guttural reflexive profane laden responses aren't so hard to imagine from people possessed by demons after all...

The exorcism was only a movie, a fantasy, but...

I get to see those type of demonic responses to the written truth almost daily here at ET...

Regan's demon must have been an ET republican...
