I was friendly with a girl who was a host at one of the AC casinos. It is astonishing that they can convince the imbeciles that they are comped in a $450 a night room because a piece of cardboard on the door says $450. The handle they buy for trinkets and booze is incredible.
the casino offer a fair game to the greedy clueless gamblers. any good player stands out from the rest. fortunately for the casino most gamblers are stupid & hopeless dreamers. most people like the feeling of getting something for free. all smoke & mirrors. fools and their money are easily parted.
I think you guys are unfairly putting down people who frequent casinos. Most I would say, well over 70% go there for entertainment. I mean the entertainment of gambling, and the fun of it. We have a neighbour few doors down, a retired dentist, his wife has MS. They fly out to vegas every three months and AC once a month, I don't think they are under any illusion that gambling is a losing proposition. 90% of all traders lose, too bad we don't get any comps!
most people in society are clueless in general about many things. gambling is entertainment yes. but when people lose from their own stupidity & then they complain about it. shame on them. the casino's are fair & they love taking donations from their visitors. Your talking about the exception not the rule. their are many talented people in this world. However most people in society are plain fucking stupid. just the truth.
for the gamblers in the casino. the rules are clear & everyone has a fair shot to make a profit. the rules are in black & white with each game & the casino control commission ensures a fair game is available to every player that walks through the door under their supervision. At least in table games . good luck finding that on wall st as a trader. its pure chaos . trading your going to get fleeced most of the time. skilled players at the casino have a opportunity to grind out profits on a level playing field. just a observation in comparing the two different structures with someone risking their money. most participate in a honest game with gambling in most casino's. gambling is not all bad.. it's how one approaches it that makes the difference.
Can you distinguish between unrealistic fictional TV entertainment, and real life? Considering the costs of ordering a hit on a high-profile customer, when you'd be the first person investigated for motive, then it would be utterly absurd to do so. The people ordering it would most likely fry in the electric chair or spend the rest of their life getting bum-fucked in prison, the corporations would go bankrupt. That's a much bigger loss than the occasional bad beat to a big fish.
little pekelo is probably hiding under his desk after reading the above. you are right about the casinos going after the big fish. There are stories every year of people losing 100's of million of dollars. http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/gambler-dropped-127-million-vegas-blames-casino-losses/story?id=9272730 "A Nebraska businessman who lost nearly $127 million in a yearlong, Las Vegas gambling binge has accused two Las Vegas casinos of plying him with generous amounts of alcohol and prescription drugs to keep the cash flowing. Terrance Watanabe said he bet more than $825 million and lost nearly $127 million of it in Caesars Palace and the Rio casinos in 2007, believed to be the biggest losing streak in Vegas history. "
No I can't. They are all the same to me. Also, high profile people with obvious enemies were never got killed right? I agree....
