Blackface, KKK hoods and mock lynchings: Review of 900 yearbooks finds blatant racism

  1. I guess it is ok to teach young adults no need to be held accountable for their actions.

I find it not surprising that you feel frat kids should have the right to make fun of lynchings as a right to party. By the way first amendment is not even relevant here, crack a book.

  2. Why do you hate our Constitution and country?

Let's make sure that all the actors, directors, and staff from any of these movies in the recent decades are banned from further employment. Yep--- these Hollywood movies -- many of them comedies have it all - Blackface, KKK and lynchings.

Of course they forgot every Spike Lee movie showing reverse racism and hatred of all whites and some other ethnic groups. Not to mention Spike's "BlackkKlansman" winning an Oscar last night.

    The 50 Most Racist Movies
    https://www.complex.com/pop-culture/2012/05/the-50-most-racist-movies/gremlins

One example from the list --

    4) Soul Man (1986)

    Director: Steve Miner
Stars: C. Thomas Howell, Rae Dawn Chong, Arye Gross, James Earl Jones, Leslie Nielsen

When '80s funnyman C. Thomas Howell (we're assuming the "C." stands for "Cracker") can't afford to pay for college, he puts on blackface and steals a scholarship designated for minorities. Spoiled white boys need Affirmative Action too! The most racist part about this movie isn't that he's in blackface (although that's pretty effing racist too), it's the fact that we're supposed to believe that everyone else buys it without even questioning why he looks like an Aryan douche covered in shoe polish. Even his black girlfriend, played by miscegenation master Rae Dawn Chong, doesn't catch on after she sees him naked!

Is this to me? I didn't say they have the right to make fun of lynchings as a right to party.

  5. I actually know what the Constitution says and studied it in depth, and it does not say you have a right to do a picture making fun of lynchings and have no consequences. Most people like you often misquote the Constitution. 1st Amendment is freedom of speech from government control/punishment. No one is saying they should be arrested and thrown in jail.

So let me ask again.... should every single person in the U.S. who ever had previous involvement with blackface, KKK, lynching themes, or confederate uniforms be hunted down by an Internet mob and be fired by their employer?

If yes, then there are going to be a lot of unemployed liberals in Hollywood.

  8. No, silly. Only the white conservatives, preferably, but it is ok to take out a white male so a minority can advance, like they tried in Virginia.
