Maybe because there were no viable alternative candidates to vote for. We in the U.S. are baffled as to why so many poor Australians would be baffled about someone else's elections and politicians. Do you not have enough of your own problems to worry about?

You need to learn technical analysis and not your voodoo strategies of DOOM and GLOOM. Where does it get you? A $20 motel room and a noose? Economy is BOOMING, look at the numbers. Look at peoples smiling faces outside on your local main street. Bush couldnt be doing a better job, he is giving people free money to help out. What a great country!

I would take any poll with a grain of salt - they usually only interview 1,000 people (out of 300 million or so). That being said, you left out the link that includes congress' dismal 18% approval rating.
