Maestro - I know your not a short term trader but there is a bull flag forming on the Dow/Ym and if it confirms we could see another 100 point move up from here.
Yes, I still hold EBAY and had many roll overs on calls. I will hold EBAY long term because of its fundamentals.
Yes, I understand and respect those technical signs. However I trust more to my sentiment gauges (no disrespect or arguing here with TA). I thought that it would be nice to have non-TA based observations as an alternative to well-known chart patterns. As you know, I don't use charts at all, I don't even look at them anymore. My style of trading has obvious advantages and disadvantages. That is why I think it would be interesting to compare the outcome with traditional TA. I used to be a very good TA specialist, but came to conclusion that my sentiment method suits me better. It is not however my intention to criticize anything or try to convince anybody in my point of view. I just want to add a second reference point to whatever trading decisions you might make. Cheers.
Bought the majority on Monday and Tuesday and unloaded maybe half. Then played around yesterday with some pre-announced earnings issues. ATM Mays again ( with some decent results). Pickings in the Mays are diminishing fast.
Agree. All my TA based indicators are screaming "BUY", except the sentiment gauges that have turned even more negative now. We will see. I hope it works out for you. Good luck! I'm still selling calls.
closed short calls today.... and added short put premium @ 35 strike for June/July. I am still long July/October premium slightly underwater... averaged some. Will seek to re-sell May calls when we get a move much higher in May, as I anticipate (on EBAY). It's funny to hear "fundamentals"... if EBAY has such great fundamentals why the H is it down below 32; even post-split that is far lower than I ever anticipated. Damn if I know! bonne chance... ICe
I have my own opinion on EBAY: CUSTOMER CONVERSION RATE. Unlike any free service EBAY converts 60 - 70% of their clients into the money generating machines. Where all other rivals in this business convert 2 -3% of all opened accounts into a cash flow. Give it a couple months. You'll see EBAY's numbers rise!
Hi Maestro, Question please? Your sentiment indicatiors seemed to work yesterday, for the broad markets. Today they seem (and this is my word) to have not worked. You said in another post in this thread that they "never fail" you. Any sort of update or modification on them or on your post that you'd willing to share.? Respectfully, Dr.Z
