Black Monday: Nuclear Meltdown in Japan

Discussion in 'Trading' started by bond_trad3r, Mar 12, 2011.

  1. Posted on blog Nov 2010 and Jan 2011:

The major correction in 2007/2008 was predicted by some market analysts including myself.

It was not a ‘Black Swan’ event that suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

The charts made it very clear back then what was ahead and they are doing so again.

My long term charts warn of another black swan market crash that 'nobody could have predicted‘

AP reporting seawater used to cool the reactors contributed to the excessive hydrogen build-up and explosions...

We're way past the polyanna's saying there would not be a meltdown, or what about inflated currency.

What we're seeing is an ever increasing possibility of a mass migration out of Japan.

We need to be wondering what percentage of the Japanese population are going to migrate elsewhere, and how quickly.

the hydrogen built up, most likely, because those rods are so hot that the oxygen and hydrogen in the water separated. We're talking multiple thousands of degrees, possibly 4000 degrees F around those rods right now.

At least 4 reactors in out of control meltdown.

I don't like delivering bad news, but this is not likely to get better before it gets worse. Just say a prayer that enough people don't believe they are safe "keeping the windows closed" in their homes near those plants. They should be evacuating a 100 mile radius.

At least 4 ?!? You have a gift for hyperbole.

Here's a clue: only three of the reactors at Fukushima were operating when the quake hit.

Now explain how at least 4 are in a state of out of control meltdown?

  7. Been reading all these comments and while I can not argue with taking extra precautions (important to me as I am actually in Tokyo) it is also important to make decisions on correct information. And I found this article pretty informative. Explains the reactor type in Fukushima and the initial explosions to date.

If anyone else has any links to credible non-mainstream media to add please post away.

I must say though it is pretty surreal here. Like being in one of those end of the world movies (hopefully with a better ending)

  8. CIA Sends USAID to Japan to Manage Nuclear Disinfo Campaign

    March 17, 2011

A large scale cover-up of the extent and severity of Japan’s multiple nuclear meltdowns is now underway, according to Yoichi Shimatsu, the former editor of the Japan Times Weekly. Mr. Shimatsu appeared on CCTV, China’s state-run television network.

  9. We don’t know the truth about Japan’s nuclear disaster

In a special video, Alex Jones addresses the tendency of governments to lie, with focus on Japan’s nuclear meltdown crisis. From the onset of Japan’s post-earthquake disaster, it’s officials have been downplaying the risks and keeping its population, and the peoples of the world, in the dark about the true scale of dangers. Now, with the explosion of a third reactor, other reactors in jeopardy, and a total chain reaction threatening to unfold, it is obvious that reassurances were issued only to keep create a more positive public image.

  10. This post from 03-12-11 05:32 PM (page 5 of this thread) shows all about how some media / people are handling this stuff:

    "There are no real problems"
    "Everything is under control"
"We have all kind of interesting options"

They will continue so forever no matter what the realities are.

We can only hope that there are still some people who don't believe such propaganda.
