lol, such a copout, tell me which one is more likely to happen in america statistically, a black dying at the hands of a white or vice versa..........

While both races tend to target their own at exponentially higher rates, black criminals are much more likely to target whites then the reverse, its an inarguable fact. You can make up all the nonsense about black lives matter, and police brutality you want, but the numbers dont lie my friend.

  2. This is an absurd defense...i.e. because he didn't kill "random" white's, he clearly didn't possess racial motivations. So we will just ignore all of the racial undertones of his written words because his actions didn't meet your arbitrary standards for a hate crime...

Not to mention the fact that flanagan specifically stated he was motivated by race.....

Virginia television shooting: Gunman kills himself after 'race-motivated' murder of journalists on live TV - follow latest updates

Bryce Williams, the suspect in the shooting of two television reporters live on air, said that the Charleston shooting in June of nine black people was his "tipping point".

In a 23-page fax sent to ABC News, Williams said the church shooting by racist Dylann Roof in South Carolina "sent me over the top", after which he immediately bought a gun. He said he was like a "powder keg just waiting to go BOOM!".

You choose statistics that support your "blacks are awful" argument. I choose statistics that show poor people all over the world, of any skin color, commit far more violent, street level crime than wealthy people do.

Shrug. You have nothing else on this because I'm right. He could have started shooting "whites" the moment he left home with his gun, if racism were his only motive. It wasn't.

Now I read he was also sympathetic to the 9/11 attackers, so toss religion into the mix.

He wanted to show the world his intent by shooting "whitey" live on TV. The guys motives and intentions are without debate, he said it and did it.

In the end he was just a coward turning the gun on himself.

  8. Roof could have starting shooting blacks as soon as he walked out of his house. He didn't. Does that mean he wasn't a racist? Did Roof have a motive other than racism, because I sure as hell didn't hear any discussion about that. It was called a racially motivated killing and nothing else from the jump. It was called that because he was obviously a racist. He killed those innocent people in a church. Maybe he hated religion too. Never heard anything about that possibility.
You claim the current event was more workplace violence than anything else because he shot co-workers. I point out that he shot a third person, also white, and you completely dismiss that. Bottom line. The guy was a racist. The crime was motivated by his racism. He wanted to kill white people. Simple as that.
Now we have a white sheriff gunned down in Texas by a black man. Gunned down execution style while the sheriff was gassing up his vehicle. I suppose the black guy was simply mad about the cop being in front of him at the pump.

He had multiple motives, as stated and as reported, and getting his ex coworkers was one of them.

But everyone here knows why YOU want it to be about race and only about race.

It appears Roof's only motive was racism. It appears Flanagan had multiple motives. That he also shot a non-coworker doesn't make the non-racial motives go away.

I'm not claiming it "more workplace violence", where do you see me arguing it was "more"?

There will be more crimes, why drag them into sorting this particular instance out?

Flanagan had multiple motives, "simple as that".
