Look at when I started to talk about it again. Look at the performance of the markets since then. I would have also talked about it in 2011 before that meltdown, but I was dating and interested in other things at that time than posting on ET.

It never occurss to these people that it is the thing they want more of that is the problem. We have a deflationary environment because of extreme low interest rates and endless money printing!

What has happened is that the FED has to evolve and adapt, just like every other entity in the entire history of the world, as it learns. It has never seen this situation before in history, and it is using 1930s tools to deal with a modern economy. It is the same mistake that religious fanatics make when using a 2000 year old book to deal with modern ethical problems. IT DOESN'T WORK.

Stock market calls the Fed's bluff

"The Fed normally raises rates when inflation is becoming intractable and robust growth is sending long-term rates spiking. However, this proposed rate-hike cycle is occurring within the context of anemic growth and deflationary forces that are causing long-term U.S. Treasury rates to fall..."

There is an interesting battle going on. Dollar is getting weaker against many currencies, except the Euro.

This smells like a battle between China and Europe, with the US smack in the middle of it. The lion is waiting in the bush, slowly inching up against the dip buyer zebras...

    1575 ish SPX is target.
