Is it really a “warning” when you were the only one out there thinking MSTY would just keep paying $4.50 indefinitely? Those payouts were clearly the product of a high-IV environment during MSTR’s rally.

I’ve already posted a sheet forecasting future dividends based on expected price. Dividends are a mix of premium and ROC that shift with IV — sometimes it leans heavier on premium when IV is high, sometimes it leans more on ROC when IV is low. That’s just how the structure works.

I stated MSTY's div would plummet as a result of MSTR's vol trading in the bottom decile. So I don't know if retarded runs in your family or if it's in the water, but clearly testing both is in order.

I stated the opposite but somehow you think by posting alt-facts people with take it at face value. The shit is archived.

So what you are saying is that you don't have a spreadsheet that can do that. That's what I thought. :)

Why would anyone think IV dropping, premiums thinning, and dividends adjusting is some kind of revelation? Obviously MSTR's run was eventually going to end and thus end the party.

MSTY has outperformed Bitcoin since inception.

You argued the dividend would not only hold up; you posted an extrapolation showing what you would earn.

Then you came on here telling us the opposite after the div got obliterated.

And that is why you're a POS. I don't blame you for being stupid, but overt gaslighting is unacceptable which is why you're universally hated on this board.

Enjoy your MSTY run while it lasts. These very high-yield return funds are not long term investments -- they have limited life spans before declining significantly... some of them blowing up spectacularly.

I remember back 40 years ago when the backs of investing magazines were full of ads for high-yield investments offering 25% plus returns -- many of them the equivalent of the current high-yield ETFs. Everything you see from YieldMax, etc. is just the latest twist on a very old ploy. The bottom line is that the firm offering the investments still get rich whether they go up or down.

I’ve always used the average payout since inception when posting projections...or just use the DRIPCALC. I think what you’re referring to is the sheet that calculates a payout/price metric from previous dividends and extrapolates it forward based on future price expectations.

I’ve already scaled out, lol… as soon as I saw how much MSTR was diluting. That’s the real issue here — MSTR doesn’t track BTC like it used to, and IV isn’t responding. I’ve made multiple posts pointing this out.

I believe you have made a good decision in scaling out.

These very high-yield covered call funds will have a limited lifespan. Take the money and run before they hit the brick wall at the end of the road.
