Well that's always true. I don't think btc-e is particularly prone to this. In fact, even regulated, US-based futures brokers are prone to failure as I recall.
Haha, yeah, most people don't get that with bitcoin, everything is trust based. It is also very easy to establish a business, run it for a few months, then disappear with the costumers coins. Now that particular exchange is in Russia, but we don't know anything else about them. Right now they make good money from commissions, but who knows what the future brings??? Kraken.com has very good features (they are Swiss) but the liquidity is still very low. They need to advertise more and maybe a few months of no commission to get more traders.... ------------------------------------------------------ Discussion on trading client: http://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMark...trading_client_do_you_use_or_do_you_just_buy/
what's the cheapest/safe way of buying $100k+ worth of bitcoins, besides going through the exchanges? the payment would come via bank wire, if any of you know of reputable "block" sellers, please message me (no emails)
bitcoin atm looks good for small purchases with cash, maybe cards, i need to wire the money, will this work? also how is the price at atm compared to major exchanges?
New all time high around 969, only after 8 days of the previous 900 one and the following crash... It should hit 1000 overnight...
not nescecary cheap .. but safe ... (cold storage) buy .. physical bitcoins go with either casascius , titan , lealana https://www.casascius.com/ http://www.titanbtc.com/product/titan-one/ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=315440.0
Casascius coins cost 100% more on Ebay and the website says: "Nov 27, 2013: For the time being, I have suspended accepting new orders, pending resolution of some concerns I have as to regulatory issues."
