It still is. Just because one of the money changers halted trading doesn't mean business can't still be transacted. If you and I could agree on a price, I could send you BTC and you could send me USD (or other goods or services) for them all on our own

More live prices.....BTC trading between 75-95, right now. Low of the day......~40 bucks. Pretty amazing fair value consensus on ET was 40, and it bounced around there... Think of all the buyers locked in at MtGox who were long at 100++.....must be going nuts..... http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/currency/USD.html Also puts a huge pinch on all the miners that backordered 10k+ mining rigs, from Butterfly and Avalon....they still gotta wait months. Oh well. I think 40 is a long term floor.

Wow so its like trading the in the old pink sheet days where you got your stack of pink sheets (that had stale prices) and you had to call up multiple firms to negotiate a price.
just to play the devil's advocate... Or you could look at it as a 90% upmove... If this shit were tradable without lags, it would be a trader's wet dream with all the volatility... My bet is that we haven't heard of the last of BTC. There are so many fans out there that once price gets cheap, they will buy and hold. Also new exchanges (real, professional ones) are looking at this. Hey, if they can charge you a commission, they will let you trade swineshit...
If it does happen to gap down on gox, which it should if these prices on the other exchanges hold, I think there is a good LT buying opportunity again. I probably should have offloaded more than I did, but whatever. I'm def. buying more. If the drop happens as long as the drop in 2011-2012 there will be plenty of opportunity for everyone.
