I agree. Bitcoin is long overdue for a wicked selloff. I'd like to see at least a 150 drop from here.

  3. It's been breaking through psych levels like they're not there. I'd at least expect some consolidations.

I guess drawing some fibos from $20 to the most recent high might be enlightening. 50% would be a $130 target.

The chart is rather comical. Oh well. 5 dollars off all time highs. One day I'll wake up and BTC will be trading sub 100. Who cares.

75 million USD transactional volume yesterday. I'd say that's worth something

  5. atticus,

when will you buy back into BTC? we need your kind of money in this market to keep the train moving.

  6. It's pretty easy to view this as a bubble, but achilles' basic definitional logic is powerful. Most people have barely heard of bitcoin, never mind buying and participating.

  7. I agree with this. Ask 100 random people, maybe 5 have heard of it. At school, when I talk about BTC, maybe 1 out of 20 have heard about it. That is 19-30 age range. I think we have a long ways to go higher.

Is it parabolic enough for the Algo Kid? I guess not yet. :)

The bitcoin subreddit is pretty funny. BTC owners complaining that they can't sleep at night and be productive during the day because they keep refreshing the live chart, and ex-owners keep obsessing about how much they could have made... Also spenders are crying too, buyers' remorse. After all a currency is for investment, not for spending!

Best tulip mania of the 21st century EVER!!!! I have to agree with the TA analysis, the peak probably will be between 500 and 1000$

Best part: UK law treats bitcoin gains as gambling profits and they are not taxed:

"Regarding having to declaring BTC income regarding of country, that's completely false. False I tell you! Source: My accountant here in the UK. I've explained to him bitcoin, he reckons that at this very moment it would be treated as earning from gambling, meaning you only declare the interest on the savings account you've place it into."

For extra fun: Mt. Gox: Magic The Gathering Online Xchange

Mt.Gox was Magic the Gathering online eXchange, traded cards before trading Bitcoin

  10. I will be a millionaire around $8500 per coin. It will be parabolic enough for me then. It will probably go up $500 a coin the second after I sell it, too.
