I should have put a disclaimer of take with a grain of salt... Udi is an OG bitcoiner, but he's been trolling the whole bitcoin and crypto industry for a while, he dresses in a wizard outfit at bitcoin/crypto conferences, a nod to his TapRoot Wizard persona Anyway, I pay for the Google AI Gemini Pro and I asked it to use all the expertise in analytics and quantitative metrics and give me a date on when bitcoin will hit $400,000/btc, same result November 2025 which is in a few months same as the supposedly Grok Heavy 4 prediction
The nonchalance with which you make that statement, combined with johnarb liking the post, is likely to confuse some bitcoiners.
i have done a very sophisticated analysis myself and determined bitcoin is in the process of topping. some signs of momentum are appearing and absorption. They are going to run it up, one last time, followed by a nasty dump and further period of chop. Meanwhile they pump up the shitcoins (ETH, DOGE, ADA.. yada yada). And then september october november december. Unprecedented levels of butchering. No bulls survive.
Sorry about that, no one takes Luke Dash-Jr seriously, he's a bit eccentric and very controversial has had big disagreements with other Bitcoin Core developers since I got into bitcoin devout Catholic, but also big believer in Science, he was running a "small" bitcoin mining pool (Saint) Eligius many years ago which I had joined and mined with, the mining pool only paid out to a bitcoin address that you can sign a message with (proving you have the private key) Lot of bitcoiners may not agree with him on many things, but he is well respected, and we don't take anything he says as gospel* (no pun intended)
Google AI Gemini Pro Yeah basically using EW...probably got its data from my posts on this forum lol. ✅ Tactical Takeaways Expect a corrective consolidation through Q3; mean-reversion is likely near $90K–$100K. Institutional tide could push it higher later, but momentum and volume are key catalysts. Worst case scenario: Bitcoin stays range-bound (~$100K–$120K) into November. Best case: A strong year-end rally targets $140K–$200K, but this requires significant positive catalysts.
LOL... I love it! Its going to be really hard for me to hold from 200k to 400k. Maybe selling in 10% chunks as it breaks about 200k will be the right thing to do. I believe these targets are absolutely achievable, but because price is low in my opinion, considering how much has been bought by institutions without an omega candle, deep down I feel like something doesn't add up. So as Tai Zen would say, you gotta start taking life changing profits. I'm not sure I understand why you don't have the whole blockchain with Knots? The actual block data that is stored is completely interchangeable between Knots and Core. In fact, switching from Core to Knots was super easy because you just needed to make some setting changes and the software continued just fine. In fact, I have multiple hard drives with most of the chain downloaded, just in case something fucks, so I have a mostly complete chain that I don't need to resync, and this can be used in both Core and Knots. I was having trouble connecting Sparrow Wallets to Knots, since I run it over Tor, and it was easy for me to take that external drive back to my other computer, and hook it up to my Core installation, and do my transactions that way once it loaded up the few blocks I missed. So Knots is essentially Core, but just some extra settings around mempool policy. But the key for me is that I don't use the wallet feature, since I'm a HWW guy and use Sparrow Wallet which just needs to connect to Core/Knots to relay signed transactions. So if there was some bug in Knots, there is no way for me to lose my Bitcoin. If I was using the wallet feature of Knots, I'd also be worried about the changes made to the Core implementation by just one guy. I have a dedicated old laptop now running Knots over Tor. I don't really need it as most of my trading is done via IBIT, so my cold storage bitcoin is just cold storage that I never use, but I am running Knots in order to send a message. Its good to know I'm one of the 4k+ people who are sending a strong signal.
Well, its something I first heard Bitcoin Mechanic say. I think Bitcoin will be successful for a few years, and then if we don't decentralize mining, then it could all fall apart. Seeing how just one implementation, Core, has the power to make any change is a huge wakeup call. Yes, you can choose to not upgrade, so Bitcoin might be fine, but the structure is already there to do major damage. When they couldn't explain why they are removing the Op_Return limit, it was clear that people with deep pockets are controlling them. There are only a couple of mining pools that essentially control most of the blocks. Who knows what can happen if they are instructed to act a certain way. Its easy to assume the mining pools can just go to a different pool like Ocean, but why wait for something bad to happen? The chance of any of these things is very low, but the chance is there. If you ask me personally, I have an issue with Coinbase, only one custodian, holding so much Bitcoin, both for the ETFs and Saylor. If it was to go down for any reason, its not that Bitcoin goes down, but maybe people walk away and then blame Bitcoin. Lets face it, Coinbase is now too big to fail, and any time we have an institution that is too big to fail, its an issue. When Voyager or FTX or Celcius went down, none of them were too big to fail, so price dropped after they failed, but nothing bad happened. But Coinbase going down could be a much bigger problem. So the point to all this is that Bitcoin isn't guaranteed to win, but its where all my money is now.
It's going to be a lot of fun trying to figure out the best ways to take profits and where to put the money, these YieldMax etf's might be nice, then mstr just announced preferred shares strc that will be a replacement for money market, pays a dividend every month, 9% APY, This is the biggest reason for me as I use Core as wallet, my node that runs 24/7 is Umbrel which is using the latest version of Core v29.0, I have an older laptop that I could theoretically run Knots on, but I'd have to upgrade the ssd to 2TB, which is worth it just to have another node I'd put it on clearnet as Umbrel runs on Tor exclusively so a 2nd node on clearnet (with vpn for protection against ISP) will be supporting both networks,
