I think the safe bet here is to cash out and put a buy order in at 12K. I expect a 40-50% sell off in the next 10 weeks.
Oh yeah? I raise your Cramer quote with a Peterffy quote: "I think as a result it will become even more popular than it's been before," Peterffy said in an interview with CNBC's Rick Santelli. Peterffy's comments contrast with earlier statements in which he said CME's launch of bitcoin futures "could bring down the entire economy."
Looks like gold is on the come back, according to that chart. If you bought gold at the beginning of 2016 and 2017, you made money. YTD still up 10%, what do you call it? Oh yes, store of value... Funny thing for those who remember the last 3 years, but Bitcoin took a much bigger dive than gold. Their charts are pretty similar except BTC has a much higher Beta. Gold: 1900 to 1080 BTC: 1165 to 170 One more slight difference, gold has been around for 5000 years. Explainer for idiots: The point of this post is that there is no reason to laugh at gold's drop in the last 3 years because Bitcoin dropped twice as much.
Bitcoin/crypto may be on a technology uptake curve, rather than a traditional financial curve. it just so happens BTC one is very buy able. The curves are usually S shape.
I'm aware... I had to go back 5 years to make the joke work....This last year hasn't been bad for gold considering the economy.
Wow it took them this long to unfold this story......I have been talking about this for almost 2 weeks!!!!!! SEC suspends trading in Crypto Co., small cap that has surged as part of bitcoin mania The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission temporarily suspends trading in shares of The Crypto Co. on concerns about "accuracy and adequacy" of information about the company. The stock has soared more than 2,700 percent this month, just as several other small names have surged on news of ties to cryptocurrencies and the blockchain technology behind them. The company went public in June by acquiring Croe, which says on its website that it is "a developmental stage fitness apparel company," primarily for sports bras.
