    Sounds good I will.

I don't need a Lambo to show the whole world how much money I have.

And a 2008 Lambo? Sorry bud, but anyone can afford that. You're not exactly storming the trenches if that's all you're driving. And the majority of us that don't drive Lambos don't drive them because they are impractical, and not because we can't afford them. We have better things to spend our money on than looking good on the road.

Is getting attention from others really that important to you?

I do have to admit that I have a sizeable portion of Bitcoin in ETFs. The fees are actually quite small, perhaps about 0.25% for most of these newest ETFs.

But the huge advantage is from a tax perspective. This is in a tax free account, so any gains will not be taxed.

Also, I consider this is a bit of diversification. Although I think I'm good with my cold storage setup, there is still the slight chance that something gets fucked up. This way, I wouldn't be losing all my exposure to bitcoin. On the flip side, maybe the bitcoin in the ETFs can be confiscated, although I think that isn't likely at all, but still, "not your keys, not your coins". But I'm willing to accept this trade-off.

If Bitcoin ever got to the point where too much is scooped up by the ETFs and the network is suffering for some reason and too easy to manipulate, I can always sell the ETF and go back to holding my own keys for this portion.

So I just wanted to throw it out there that I don't think the ETFs are all that bad. Its what is allowing major funds to get on board, and I think is wonderful for long term adoption.

  6. Whats mind boggling is that he is invested in the ETF's and benefits from price rising.

He isnt a naysayer,he is simply here to argue and get attention at all costs.

We haven't pumped for a couple of days and i am sure this has nothing to do with the fact that Tether hasn't printed any new tethers in this time...

    But fear not!

Just today, another freshly baked $600M out of the Tether oven!

troll-waxy is also not beneath fabricating lies to get a correction response

but it's difficult to let false information pester on ET and add to the bitcoin confusion

at the end of the day, Global Macro 90k thread is a confirmation none of our posts really mattered

the same arguments from non-believers even as bitcoin adoption and price has grown tremendously over the years

    :D
