@johnarb @semperfrosty @Tokenz @NoahA @S2007S @The_Krakenite Here is your assumed options position based on the information and pnl you have posted: 18 June 2025 135 C @ $90 Pnl: $135k Here is how just purchasing 1200 shares @ $135 would be performing. Pnl: $198k
You got played lol...you have an options position with HUGE theta risk that is underperforming just holding stock! @johnarb what's your bitcoin beta for your portfolio? If you bought 160k of bitcoin back in August you would have 2.6 btc and be up 53k If you bought 160K of MSTR in Aug @ 135 you would have 1200 shares and be up 200k...so your MSTR portfolio would be at a 3.77 beta. Your current options would be performing worse at only a 2.45 beta...but they are very volatile. So buying MSTR would have been the best decision. Every portfolio should be measured in bitcoin beta and should be imo at least .50 beta to keep pace. As mentioned if you had a portfolio of gold since 2017 it would have devalued about 98% relative to bitcoin. (1200--->2400) compared to (1200--->80k) 2400/80k=.02 beta
Agree retail isn't buying bitcoin here....coinbase earnings proved that retail stepped away since bitcoin has gone up.... They will probably feel fomo soon and jump back in sending it to 100k then wham, rug pull as bitcoin collapses sending retail investors in a tizzy never to fall for fomo again
you got sucked into wasting time on something that is not interesting, waxy, cut your losses, and move on
bitcoin hits $100k before eoy 2024 and keeps going up to Nov-Dec 2025, mate, then possibly start of the bear market slow grind to -70% what's the peak price? $200k? $300k? $500k? $1M? make the money on the way up, mate, then make the money on the way down
