No. Not a coin flip. It is only there half of the time. No EW pattern, no "coin" to flip. A 5 wave might complete. Then a whole lotta nothing, till a discernable corrective 3 wave pattern comes into view much later than typical. Or maybe even a 5 wave corrective. Elliott Wave gets a bad rap (especially when someone attaches the Theory word to it) because it is not precise. Nothing is. Getting back to you saying:- "Initial impression was lots of probable and probably." That is exactly what trading is all about. No one knows what is going to appear on the right hand side of the chart. At least not every time in all time frames in all markets. Not even most of the time. Anyone who tries to tell you different is FOS.
Earlier this week miners were getting slaughtered still day after day. Today is the second day now on the path to a great recovery.
You gotta wonder why the price is rising. The price fo BTC is falling and the cost of mining is going to double overnight. Don't see too many profitable miners at todays cost.

Well, that was sort of entertaining. Almost slept through it. Had to take a peek just to be sure there wasn't some 'bug' with BTC's halving code this time around. lol Now that the excitement for the weekend is over, let's see how many retail 'boomers' dogpile in it next week after Cramer says something about it. And then... let's keep a close watch on those next earnings calls from the miners.
Happy Halving day! over 40 bitcoins reward for the block 840000 Everyone wanted to be a part of the historical event Right now, for block 840005 the fees are over $200 in satoshis if you want to be included The Runes and Ordinals party in full swing
I wonder if people are betting that the smaller independent less efficient miners are gonna call it quits now, just leaving the large operators to split the rewards.
The interesting thing about the miners, is from one halving to the next it's not unusual for the smallest of the lagging dogs to become top dog power-houses by the next. Extremely rarely do you see that kind of growth and recovery in vanilla equities. Marathon went from bust to a top dog this time around. Corz was literally into bankruptcy and came back with a vengeance. There were many millionaires made from those who bought shares. TeraWulf is a very tiny miner who was swamped in debt. They've done very well to pay that down and come strong, while still upgrading their hashrate.
