I need to add one more point to my rebuttal since I just saw this a little while ago. This is why I think Bitcoin is such an asymmetrical bet. When it gets to 1 million, does it matter if you got your bitcoin at 0.05 or 0.06 or 0.07? And the reason its going there is because the government is doing everything possible to show people why they need to worry. Now some of the points in the comments are valid, like the bank wants to make sure you're not getting scammed if you're withdrawing a large sum of money, but lets be real here. These bank fuckers want an invoice because you are withdrawing your own money? https://x.com/CatchUpFeed/status/1779878690408816873 The freedoms we have as people die when the freedom to transact is taken away. I think the reason why John gets a little heated at times is because bitcoin isn't a trade. Its the safety net. Its your ticket to a safe future. Those of us buying and holding bitcoin now are doing so as a service to the rest of the world. These politician cucks think that they are doing good by pushing through legislation that will be used to ensnare all of us in the name of some made up safety. At work, people think I'm always looking at the negative. I fight back with the story and famous picture of the German soldier who jumped to freedom just as the Berlin wall was being built. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konrad_Schumann
Seriously... do you think the bank should be able to question you when you take your money out? Do you think the government should know about every single transaction that you make?
I showed you a very specific example of a moment in history where the solider was seeing what was happening around him and he made a quick decision to run towards freedom. If you don't see what is happening in the world right now then you are blind. Imagine if one day the government deems home traders to be a leech on society and forces you to get a real job. Will you start to fight at that point?
C'mon, be true to yourself for once. You don't give a crap about all those things that you complain about. Those are just cop-outs. Only thing you care about is the $money$. Otherwise, why are you so obsessed with Bitcoin going up to $1M? I've seen a lot of greedy traders throughout my trading career, but you Bitcoiners are by far the most greedy MOFOs. Not only that, you try to cover up your greed with nonstop excuses of noble shit. But enough said.
Yes I do, every transaction you make with them. Otherwise, no they don't need to know about transactions off the network. And that is why people that don't want the bank or the gubmint to know (for whatever legal or illegal reason), don't deal with them.
