Bitcoin Cash (bch) is a fork of Bitcoin Core (btc) just as Litecoin (ltc) is a fork of Bitcoin

The origin of Bitcoin Cash started at a certain block height in 2017, which is different than Litecoin which started at the block height 1

Main difference to Litecoin is that in 2017, if you had 10 bitcoins before the fork, you had 10 bch and 10 btc after the fork as the same private keys had the same utxo's

Bch and Btc are not necessarily in conflict, they are more different ships in different oceans, as they have different blockchains and different consensus rules governing their respective networks, they use different wallets

tl;dr they are not in conflict but they are 2 different crypto assets with different prices in fiat, and you could mix Litecoin and Dogecoin and Bitcoin SV and many other forks of Bitcoin as part of the analogy

    American Hodl again on WBD

For all the ET people "concerned" about Bitcoin's shortcomings as a currency (MoE), there's a discussion on the video

Combined with Baron's Bitcoin as global transfer of (significant) value on another thread...

Bitcoin will go to $1,000,000 and higher without it ever needing to be used as a currency to buy coffee or a burger

  4. Bitcoin continues to trade in the range. Nothing has changed in the market and price will continue to move sideways. Keep an eye on the support and resistance area.

Tempting but I'm not gonna bite, staying flat atm on swing trade.
Will give it another day and reassess.

the price of bitcoin going up in fiat terms is very very good for us... but I should not forget how important Bitcoin is for all the reasons

Bitcoin is digital property, but it is also a decentralized currency

I should not advocate for the removal of the latter in order to increase the fiat price of the former

Bitcoin is currency that can be used for the illicit goods and services, the ones that may require privacy, sometimes there's a need to circumvent the "system"

I remember in 2013 there were many reddit posts about buying illegal drugs like heroin, but also there were many posts about buying expensive drugs for a discount, like diabetes supplies, of course at the time they were cheap in fiat terms but the bitcoins spent became worth much more, in the millions of $

There are companies that have bought bitcoins as currency to pay for ransomware they have incurred or may incur in the future

I have a friend who paid for software licenses using bitcoin, also lifetime subscription to CNBC pro, netflix, hbo max, and hulu plus...

    https://bitify.com/

So, yes, Bitcoin is the best digital property, but it is also a global decentralized permissionless censorship-resistant currency

  10. The lower the #Bitcoin balances get on exchanges, the more volatile the price action will become.
