    What's your point?

    The hashrate has been growing since inception, demanding more and more electricity and pollution, rapidly accelerating in the last few years. It's now consuming more electricity than whole countries.

    and your point?

    How much energy does Las Vegas, Reno, Macau, Monte Carlo, Atlantic City etc etc consume?

    How much energy do gold mining companies consume in order for less than 8% of produced gold to be used industrially. The rest jewelry and stick it back in "a hole in the ground" (central banks and investors)?

    Many other examples are out there too - if one takes off their bias blinders.

    Bitcoin rallied so much likely because of a recent Amazon job posting that they are looking for “digital currency and block chain product lead”, who will have to monitor “how Amazon’s customers pay”. So naturally, everyone seemed to assume that Amazon would pull a Tesla and start accepting Bitcoin.

    Might be. Although there was something yesterday/today (?) about White House putting out their two cents agreeing with Congress's call for more regulation.
