At the level of 17K there were already postings (from Hoi) on ET that you should buy as the bottom was in and there would not be much risk. Bitcoin owners need fresh cannon meat. https://elitetrader.com/et/threads/bitcoin-price-thread.315402/page-87#post-4569271
Nobody said it was low, after all computers aren't cheap. But let's say my farm's computers are already paid off, so that is not a cost I am worried about anymore. The rest of the cost are electricity, workers, rent, etc. If those are way below the current price, than I keep running the mining operation.
Well, if they sell their farm of computers for scrap the answer is very clear. Losing money and no hope for profits in future ( as otherwise they would just keep the PC's and shut them down temporarily).
A couple of years back I said it would go higher and then called the top within a few(2 or 3 if I remember rightly) weeks of it's high (slightly early( check ,my posts)).
And did you get out at the top, or did you take the ride down 80% too? Because if you are fairly sure about your predictions you take advantage of it. If not what's the use of predictions? You apparenlty bought very cheap, sold around the top and wait now till the bottom to buy again. That is what you should do/have done. If you don't it means you are far from sure about your prediction. I posted at the top that it was a bubble. You can check that too.I did not go short as I trade the ES which offers me better returns then BTC. That I posted then too.
I don't think btc will be going up a lot anytime soon , in quite times ( in terms of news ) it will slowly sink with small bounces at newsworthy levels/ events .i.e. like a new low for x periods etc but generally downward , probably to very low levels where it's only value(in time) is as some sort of relic/antique.
