If you read this posting again now...
Poster did not post the last few weeks. I wonder why. :D

I told not to buy. Those who listened avoided a lot of losses. We went down $8,000. So the timing to buy at $17,000 was not "very accurate".
What would the result have been when averaging down???

You were also telling people not to buy when bitcoin was $6.000,00 before it went to $20.000,00. So, just as at that time, you knew nothing about what was going to happen... Just as you didn't know that it was going below $17.000,00 at the time it was at that price(just as the other guy who had the opposite opinion of yours didn't know too).

That said, it is pretty embarrassing to pretend to know something about the future with the benefit of hindsight conveniently ignoring the times you guessed wrong.:)

I said from start that I would NEVER buy bitcoins. I told that it is impossible to know where this scam would go. I also NEVER gave any advice when to buy. So your remarks are just putting words in my mouth that I never said. I never pretended to know anything except for the fact that most people would be losing money if they would do what the HODLers told: "buy and hold, this think can only go up." It was pump and dump.

If you read my postings you will find one where I told that I make MORE money in trading the ES than most people do in bitcoins and this with much less risk. I would be an idiot to switch from ES to bitcoins. So I never pretended to know what the bitcoin would do, just that it was a scam. Watching the ups and downs confirm that it is very dangerous.
I daytrade a few decades already, even before internet existed, so I know perfectly well that making predictions is idiot. I just warned people to stay out of it.

If I see my returns since the bitcoin past $6,000, going up till today, I beat the bitcoin return hands down. And with only a fraction of the risk.

    Here is the proof:

    Clearly said: UNPREDICTABLE.

What is this then? "I told not to buy"
It is too soon to say that... Strong moves in btc are not new and last time I checked it is still trading normally.:)
For someone who trades for decades you get scared pretty easily... And assuming that something is proven to be a scam or a failure because of one sudden move is pretty clueless.

Has nothing to do with scared, real traders watch risk/reward and take the best option they have.
If you are never scared you are not a professioanl trader. Better be humble than arrogant. Less expensive.

    You didn't answer my question...:)

And don't change the subject, we're not talking about me... I was clearly refering to the fact that a sudden move in a market isn't proof of anything, much less that something is a scam or failure... :)

This guy is a damn joke.....$9000 is a major low and that the firm would be aggressive buyers hahahahhahahaha ....funny...when it was trading $18000-$20000 he was telling people to run in and buy that it was only going higher......he did not once say it would collapse and to wait until a decline to jump in nope.........Fu©king joke all these bitcoin bulls are....its a virtual coin made out of thin air....a fu©king fairy tale coin.....

    • Fundstrat's Tom Lee predicts bitcoin will reach $25,000 by the end of this year, and $125,000 by 2022.
    • Bitcoin briefly dropped more than 30 percent this week to below $10,000. Lee says Thursday that $9,000 is likely a "major low" in bitcoin and that the firm "would be aggressive buyers around that level."
    • Lee also issues price targets on three other digital currencies.

The thing is 2017 was the year for holding. I don't think any active trader outperformed the just buy and hold through the year. But those times are over.

2018 is for trading it. If you didn't recognize price going vertical at 20K (hell even at 16K) then you are a newbie. When we were at 19K I posted calling for 12K, although the speed we reached it surprised me.

The point is, we are on a trader's message board and even if you are a crypto fan, wouldn't you want to have eventually more of it? And one way to achieve that is by trading it. It is very predictable and tradeable. Just watch my posts if you don't know how....

We are going to climb up to 13K where one can short it again... In general it is going to zig-zag, it won't take off to 25K and also won't crash down to 5K. So average in and enjoy the ride...
