+ Same MM method applies to long option bets. No point using stops on something with such a high spread and low volume, so you position size as if able to absorb a total loss of premium if the trade does not work out. But if it does..... 3-10x return
Litecoin, Dogecoin, namecoin, ppcoin, mastercoin, hascoin, ronpaulcoin ... https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/List_of_alternative_cryptocurrencies Bitcoin is likely to lose 99.9% of its value due to the infinite supply of other easy to create coins. I'm waiting for the britneyspearscoin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-u5WLJ9Yk4
I thought he was talking generally. The problem with risking too little is, that the pay off is also going to be little, since the initial gazillion % return phase is over....
It wasn't me talking about stops, but anyway, if your exchange is illiquid, just switch to one with better volume. Unless of course if you are a billionaire, than I understand your concern... This haters gonna hate BS is really cultist. Why would I hate bitcoin? It has provided me with entertainment and still the best soap opera right now on the interwebs. Just because some of us are realistic about a beta phased social experience what still has a bunch of problems, that doesn't mean we hate you.....
By that logic AAPL is likely to lose 99.9% of its value to the infinite supply of other easy to issue stocks.
The only unlimited risk is those shorting it, and that's not a practical concern as you're limited by going debit in the account. Forget it's BTC.... treat the $560 as a stock with a stat-vol of 150% annualized. This is not a difficult concept to grasp.
I follow tons of traders on twitter, most still don't understand it. Most are saying, "see we told you so" and then quote the gox $100 dollar price which is meaningless. Once these dudes finally understand it, I expect a lot more upside. Then again, I could very well be the one who "comes to understanding" that the NSA is doing an experiment. That's what makes a market. But then why not just go into litecoin instead , Charlie Lee (the known creator of litecoin) is a champion for liberty which I love.
