He came out of the bush,” she said, and added that Cooper started “screaming” at her. Christian Cooper said the dog was “tearing through the plantings,” and he told Amy Cooper the dog needed to be on a leash. He said he was not screaming at Amy Cooper, and “was actually pretty calm.” He is not in charge of policing the leash laws for sure, but her calling the police because he was threatening her was complete bullshit. She lied on camera with the guy 6 to 10 feet away from her. AND she approached HIM! I think he was trying to offer treats to the dog from what I read, but I'm not sure how this affects the conversation or excuses her behavior.
