...and confirm it with/using the 20-hour baseline (when trading using the four-hour and one-hour, two-day ping pong chart configurations).

...at the outer edges of the two-day price range envelope at 0.90% through 3.00% deviation, and/or at the outer edges of the four-day price range envelope at 2.00% deviation and beyond.

In addition to the above described pseudo swing trading style approach to trading binary options, I think it might also be possible to design a system for trading binary options relatively successfully throughout the day, all day long, even during those periods when the market is more-or-less dead, and even more so if some version of the Martingale Strategy is employed.

    upload_2021-7-15_17-51-24.png

It relies on the two-hour baseline, the two-hour price range envelope at 0.35% and 0.85% deviation, the five-minute baseline, the 15-minute baseline, and the nine-minute price range envelope at 0.11% deviation.

The goal is to use these particular measures to forecast reversals in the short-term trend that are likely to last long enough for the contract purchased to still be in-the-money at the time of expiry, which I am initially thinking should probably be scheduled for about 30 minutes after the time of entry.

Based on the results thus far, I decided to go ahead and place a trade for $50 as opposed to the $1 trades I was using to test the tactic...

So, I was very disappointed when I realized I'd neglected to reset the Stake amount..:wtf:

  3. Hello blackkey,

Rule no 1 should be to trade only liquid stuff. I haven't traded any binary options but i bet they are far worse than regular liquid etf or stock options.

Binary options are what are considered exotic options. There is nothing simple about them. Learn trading regular options before exotics.

On top of everything. One of the key benefit of options is it is the only instrument that allows you to put on a trade where you do not have to pick a direction. Binaries are quite the opposite.

Just the pros and cons - Mostly i think stack in favor of staying away from them in general.. YMMV though.

Since all of my take-profit targets had already been hit, during the release of U.S Non Farm Payroll and Unemployment Rate data, I used the free time to attempt to come up with an indicator that could track the extremely fast moving Forex markets very closely, and I ended up with this weird adaptive price range envelope...

But the thing I like about it is that it appears to have the power, when used in conjunction with a handful of other indicators, to reveal high-probability ten-minute binary option trade opportunities with a good deal of frequency.

This is of no use with Nadex, because when it comes to Forex derivatives, their platform jumps from five-minute contracts to two-hour contracts, offering nothing in between. On the other hand, Deriv.com's platform has the flexibility to handle ten-minute contracts with no problem whatsoever.

The potential that this particular technique holds seems almost too good to be true, so there is a very real chance I will find it is much more difficult to execute in real time than appears to be the case after the fact.

Nonetheless, if it does pan out, I'm going to have to make a concerted effort to finagle some way of taking advantage of this tactic by getting to some location outside the U.S. to trade, someplace where I can switch to a live account and start generating a good amount of income relatively quickly.

    Deriv.com Pilot Study Prep. Notes...
    • Preliminary analysis suggests you key in on the 17-minute baseline.
    • The best time to be active is when the lower panel oscillator corresponding to the slope of this measure is above 0.0149 or below -0.0149. The worst time to be active is when the lower panel oscillator corresponding to the slope of this measure is between -0.0084 and 0.0084.
    • The alert signal is when candlesticks cross over the 2½-minute baseline.
    • The trigger signal for purchasing (10-minute) contracts is when candlesticks cross over the 5-minute baseline.
    • These trades are confirmed by the 7-minute baseline
    • Why not use this tactic trading a traditional Forex account? Because sometimes the amount of distance covered might not be enough to cover the spread when trading foreign currency pairs, yet amount to more than enough distance to be in-the-money at expiry when trading binary options, with plenty of room to spare.

It is also critical to monitor (presumably) the slope of the 7-minute baseline as well as its relatively position to the 17- and 23-minute baselines.

I just got back home, and based on the first two charts I configured, I now have a third that I plan to use first. If it works, I'll be ignoring the other two. If not, I will go back and revisit them. I got this buy signal just as I was plotting the last histogram in the lower panel...

    AUDJPYM1.png

Based on recent (the last two) waves or cycles, I was going to place an order for a three-minute contract, which would have been successful, but I couldn't get the platform booted up in time. It turned out however that there was follow through this third time around and even a ten minute expiry would have worked.

I already got another signal while still typing the above entry....

    upload_2021-8-8_19-4-46.png

I set expiry for five minutes in the hopes that this would be enough time for the rate to climb, but not so much time that it would have the opportunity to turn against me. But it seems like three minutes would have been sufficient in this case too, once again (see above image).

UPDATE: Yeah, five minutes worked out just fine...

Based on today's results (and Friday's, before the latest version of this chart was adopted) Sunday's configuration seems to be working, even though I'm still working to master its utilization...

    ScreenHunter_10525 Aug. 09 17.20.jpg

I did make a couple of modifications. Still, it appears that this configuration is likely to be the culmination of four years of note taking, which began back on August 12, 2017...
