Has any one of these characters pulled off a takeover of an ownership of a professional baseball, basketball, football or hockey team or even talked about it ? If so, which season / episode ? wrbtrader
Another much better show about trading is Black Monday. I have just finished season 2, and going to start the 3rd. Incredibly funny and there is actual trading in it.
I just watched the trailer. Looks pretty cool. I don't know how I missed it. Soooo much online content today. It's amazing. The Don Cheadle is a bit unrealistic but I guess if you can have Trading Places with Eddie Murphy, then why not Cheadle. I wonder if they are any similar references to other movies of that era like Wall Street. Probably not, as it's about the events that preceded the crash. Also how the heck can you generate 3 seasons from that crash?? A 2 hour movie seems like the extent of it.
Axe explaining his wife why her IPO would fail. And then him taking his childhood friends for a trip while one of his buddies failed with all in with his 200k & Axe chose to save his ass. For the last time tho. Also Bill (?) jumping over the fence at the chicken farm. Nice show. Not that many alternatives tho. Narrow niche. Favorite part, - man divorces his wife & ends up in the pool with 20 models on the same evening.
I stopped watching in the middle of the second season. I just forgot about it, and then just didn't want to return to watching it. It didn't catch my interest.
I must be the odd duck. Just started watching this show, and the use of leverage as it applies directly to human psychology and behavior is entertaining as well as insightful. The idea of flipping the script as the characters find themselves in untenable situations, even though fiction, is a good lesson that most problems exist in our minds as well as their solutions. While it might be old news to some, but the extent and manner by which Due Diligence is performed generates better ideas for my own endeavors.
agree with a lot of this. I don't get the hate for Billions around here, but whatever. I haven't watched the 2nd half of S5 or beyond but it's on the list of things to catch up on. I get the excess drama at times but it's still better than 99% of the rest of the shit that networks put out. the only other show that catches my interest more than Billions was Blacklist up until S5ish, haven't watched past that one either.
Agreed. I've enjoy Spader as an actor, his character is interesting and made up for the lead female's performance whose name escapes me. When it comes to govt, organized crime and intrigue, 24hr is one of my favs even with the outlandish violence.
