Wow, i just gained even more respect for damian Lewis as an actor, i didnt even know he was a (brit?), I first saw him in "Homeland" then in "Billions" he is kind of caught between a rock and a hard place, hes not good enough looking to be the leading role for a male, but not evil enough looking to play the villian, but its a perfect character for Billions. But i was surprised to hear hes a foreigner. You can definitely see all the animations in his face in this interview, that play out through both series, every thing he does is very pronunciated, i always thought it was just acting, like when he raises his eyes when hes about to chew someone out........ but thats just the way he is apparently. But yeah Colbert is also a dickwad, lol.
He was great in Band of Brothers, Life was it a Cop who spent 10years inside and kinda crazy but rich from his payout was quirky and well played, didn't like Homeland but he was okay, perfect in Billions. Cuts off too soon
Didnt even know he was in band of brothers, going to have to watch that series, got lots of reccomendations to watch it from friends but never got around to it.
Capt Winters so the main guy in the film, top show, the spin off Pacfic didnt really work for me. Life was good to, well his character zany to the max.
Does anyone know what is the song at the end of this scene? I found myself whistling it today while on a bike ride and remembered where I heard it.
I'm looking forward to the two part Madoff movie tonight on CNBC. It will "help" me come down off the "Billions" high slowly. And next Saturday the Robert Deniro Madoff film will be on HBO.
I realized last night that what I most like about the show (and also what surprised me) is that they are asking the right questions about, erm, human nature in the institutional finance. Some 20 years ago my very first boss was telling me "Be careful, this industry has a way of stealing your soul. You don't believe it at first and when you do it's usually too late ". I was surprised to hear almost the same sentiment at the end of this:
