I can't be certain, but my impression is that Biden would try and convince the Congress to add a public option to the ACA. He is probably thinking that that would add medicare's cost control features to the ACA. If the public option proves popular, then eventually most people would voluntarily go that route and there would be a gradual, rather than sudden, transition to medicare for all.

Although I hope Biden does not get the nomination, I can see the wisdom in his approach to a gradual transformation of U.S. medical care -- assuming I have his intentions correct. I would prefer even a rapid transition to medicare for all if leaving the government protected medical cartel firmly in control were our only other option, although i can see how that could be quite a shock to the system.* I will vote for Biden if he gets the nomination. What choice is there! I'll not vote for a sociopathic gangster to lead our nation.

*Few of my younger colleagues have much understanding of medicare. They think the medical insurance industry, which is huge, would disappear overnight with millions being thrown out of work. But that would not happen. Virtually everyone on medicare still has private insurance to cover the 20% that medicare does not cover. And any public option that might pass Congress -- or medicare for all, that couldn't pass-- would undoubtedly contain a bone thrown to the private insurance industry. Let's not forget, however, that the present system lets private, for profit companies skim off all the young and healthy and dumps all the old and sick on medicare. THAT'S WHAT WE MUST CHANGE. Either medicare for all, or a more likely gradual transition to the same via the public option, would change this untenable and unsustainable arrangement. To make medical care affordable, both the healthy and the sick must be in the same pool! The large, approximately 50%, cost savings that could potentially be realized would, of course, come out of the ridiculously insane salaries and profits of those at the top of the Medical Cartel pyramid. The rich will remain rich, but a little less so, the poor will remain poor, but a little less so. And in 20 years everyone will have gotten over it.

Trump pretended to be Swedish half his life to enhance his career, he even wrote (ghost written) his family was from Sweden in the first Art of the Deal print runs until he changed it. Warren's DNA test showed she had the ancestry she believed she had.

Warren is actually smart and no-nonsense, plenty of charisma. People just forget what old fashioned competence looks like as they only want the circus now.

    3. Growing Up

His story is classic Horatio Alger. Fred Trump was born in New Jersey in 1905. His father,
who came here from Sweden as a child, owned a moderately successful restaurant, but he
was also a hard liver and a hard drinker, and he died when my father was eleven years old."

Looking around us now would allow the conclusion that two things keep capitalism in check:
    1. A political system firmly grounded in democratic ideals (including a democratic republic).
    2. A tradition of moral principles that were, at least in the beginning if not still in the present, born of Judeo-Christian values and beliefs, including those which hold that people have a right to the station which the laws of God entitle them; to life, liberty, and the pursuit (but not the guaranty) of happiness endowed by their Creator; and that governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed—consent which must not be reduced or usurped by those doing the governing.

    Sure.

Whatever you yourself are guilty of accuse your opponent first and flagrantly. Warren will be the next president, if she is not then the US is probably done as a union.

Not to forget Trump has said a few times this year his father was born in Germany.. and he has the nuclear football..

    That;
even a failure in capitalism as TSLA is on the charts, can still help some LOL. E Warren, being an attractive woman may get a few votes on that, but most bankers are rightly against her.She started off voting right, Republican, but her liberal loon tax the rich goals , most likely will defeat her. But Bernie ''socialist'' Sanders has endorsed her before ; may hurt her more than help her ?? LOL:D:D :caution::caution::caution::caution::caution::caution:

Warren passes Biden in new nationwide poll

A new national survey shows Elizabeth Warren now sitting atop the 2020 Democratic field, further cementing her ascendancy in the party’s presidential primary after a pair of polls reported her leading in the first two primary states.

Twenty-seven percent of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents polled by Quinnipiac University said they favor Warren, according to a survey released Wednesday morning. Twenty-five percent said they prefer former Vice President Joe Biden.

I like her as a person and she can put someone down if she needs to. Also I had a nice mother and I don't have the conservative terror of capable women. All too Arabic Islam BS conservative sometimes the far right. Trump did not even have a picture of his mom on his desk but a couple of his dad.

I could give two craps about the US economy on the time scales that affect guys like maybe yourself, I have homes and assets all over. Survival in a recognisable form is the thing.

Warren won't appeal to the ADHD far left and far right but the thick middle need to get some oxygen and she will do that. Country is like a suicide with a hose from the tailpipe right now.

Grudges and silliness drove the mess we have now. I remember watching this and hearing from a friend who was there (or his wife was, been a while) that Trump was furious and spitting feathers once the cameras went off him. I was surprised as he was the willing subject of a roast in the past but I guess Donny really don't like a black man talking down to him.

I just can’t see a Union household voting to willingly forfeit health care insurance benefits that they bargained hard over many decades to win.

I just don’t see that happening.

Medicare-for-All doesn’t even come close to the coverage benefits that US unionized employees currently enjoy.

And then there’s the inconvenient truth that rural hospitals simply could not survive on Medicare reimbursements.

I think that blanket student loan forgiveness foments straight up generational and personal choice class warfare.

How many working class Democratic families are OK with decriminalized illegal border crossings and blanket social benefits for anyone that shows up ?

Which means more polarization and resentment.

I personally don’t see these issues as vote gainers as much as vote losers.

And then there’s the Green New Deal.

You could tax the 1% at 100% and you couldn’t pay for it all without a VAT.
