What? Obama sends our technological expertise overseas instead of letting America lead in developing important new technology? This isn't the America I know.

BEIJING (AP) — Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates confirmed Wednesday he is in discussions with China to jointly develop a new and safer kind of nuclear reactor.

“The idea is to be very low cost, very safe and generate very little waste,” said the billionaire during a talk at China’s Ministry of Science and Technology.

  3. Oh yeah, let's help China because cleaner and safer nuclear energy is on the top of their list.

Odumbo hates the America we know, that's why he's trying so hard to "change" it.

And the sheeple chanted: "yes we can...yes we can..."

Obama's not even mentioned in that article.

  7. US energy companies with nuclear assets are not much interested in new untested reactor designs and the only way they would build them would be with government funds. Trying to get financing or underwriting nuke generation plant construction is a fraught business. The Chinese appetite for risk is somewhat greater when it comes to solving energy and infrastructure problems.

  8. Its a business deal, and it makes sense to test out newer technologies.
We should offer to build Iran's reactor, otherwise the Chinese will, once they pirate our technology.
Then we would need the Chinese's permission, even if we wanted to kiss Ahmadinejad's ass.
