A lot of bodybuilders and fitness models are involved in "G4P" or gay for pay where they do sexual favors for men in exchange for money or other things. It is widely known in the bodybuilding community but not accepted as normal or good. As far as steroids go I agree with the above that you cannot place them in the same category as synthol...they aren't the same thing at all. Sythol is to steroid users what steroids are to natural lifters... Many people use their non-use of steroids as an excuse for their own mediocrity and hate on users, crediting all of the juicers gains to the juice...which isn't true most of the time. Many people take steroids that have no business taking them and as a results end up worse off than before they started. These are people who have no physical fitness base/are in terrible shape and hop on them for quick results only to lose everything and then some after the cycle ends because they lack the discipline to do a proper PCT and continue training and eating correctly after that sweet sweet testosterone goes away. I have seen this with my owns eyes several times. I was "involved" with steroids long ago but never used them because I did powerlifting competitions and considered it cheating at the time. I am older now and very much considering TRT, testosterone replacement therapy, which I do consider steroid use. I like being more muscular than the average person for whatever reason and see PEDs as a useful tool to get me there.
I wouldn't consider average-to-good natural genetic potential as mediocre. It is only when it is contrasted with the comic book proportions of steroid users that the comparison becomes stark. Steroids are a game-changer any way you look at it. Personally, I don't care if people use the stuff. I only dislike it when they deny it. Because that's lying, and I don't like to be lied to and taken for a fool.
Agreed, Nothing worse than fake natties. Steroids do provide a major advantage to muscle growth and general body composition improvement...especially when used by people who knew what they were doing. And I agree that it is no small feat for the average person to max out their genetic potential, that would be an incredible feat that rarely happens. The problem is most people either don't know how to train or eat or lack the discipline or desire and never come close to reaching their Genetic potential then in their mediocre state of fitness either turn to steroid use (with little to no success) or look at successful users with disgust and feel they (Mr. mediocre) would be mega buff if they cheated with steroids too.
True dat. As we age, especially past 50/60, It's the joints and tendons that end up determining your weight lifting routine. The muscle says yes. The wrist, elbow, shoulder, hips, knees and ankles say fuck you.
Sure, but mobility rests on having sufficient muscle mass in the face of age-related sarcopenia. And it's the fast twitch that are first to go. Intense resistance training is the best and most efficient way to hold on to them there fibers.
I would think one can come reasonably close without making a career of it. Train hard, eat well, and get sufficient rest and sleep. Remember, we're talking about human genetic potential, not the superhero variety.
Couldn’t disagree with this more. I would say at least 1/3-1/2 of my H.S. and College friends have used at one point or another. And I can say with 100% certainty that their gains while taking made them incredible compared to what they were while “only” doing a strict workout/eat healthy regimen. They looked good before, and then went to a whole different level in strength, mass, ripped, vascular, etc It wasn’t even comparable. The sauce is the truth. It fucking works. And like others have said, I don’t care what anyone takes, just don’t lie about it.
