  3. I told a Leftist today I was a trump supporter today and this Leftist intellectually mopped the floor using me as the mop for over three hours. Although I felt victorious on some skirmishes, I clearly lost the war.

I wish someone was able to get through to me that I had toilet paper stuck to my shoe, so to speak, earlier in my life.

With Trump yielding to Nancy on the State of the Union Address and agreeing to reopen the Government, the character of negotiations will likely change. We are no longer at the “If there is no wall, there can be no Government funding”, to paraphrase Putin. An atitude of “Well, let’s see what we can salvage out of this” is not optimal either. Hopefully, negotiations will recognize what voters want and will revolve around reaching a workable long term agreement.

Trump’s heart was probably not really in the wall or border security in the first place. Washington lobbyists are probably beathing a sign of relief that the flow of cheap labor will continue to flow into the US unabated. Trump was trying to leverage popular sentiment on border security of his base for political gain. I appreciate Trump for his calling out the media, political correctness, and his Supreme Court nominations. If Trump can pull off a fair trade deal with China and perhaps a few others as well as a couple of new peace treaties and maybe even better relations with Russia, he may yet salvage a respectable Presidential performance in the eyes of his supporters and history.

Fortunately Republicans are smart enough to realize the importance of competition in the Primaries in the Presidential nomination process. That way, their voters feel they have more control in finding a suitable Presidential representative, more ideas get exposed which may be useful to the eventual nominee, and up and coming Republican candidates get broad exposure. As a bonus, should Trump not run for a second term, especially on short notice, the Republican Party will not be caught unprepared. Thank God the Republicans are smart that way.

What Republican hasn’t carried water for Donald Trump? Jeff Flake, Bob Corker a few others? The whole republican party owns this disaster.

I appreciate you see Trump should throw in the towel but he should do it now, not later. And not because of the wall failure or the total loss of reputation as a deal maker or the legal issues but because he is truly a poor manager and executive.

Admit it, Trump is running the government like shit. Half of his principles are acting and replaced corrupt secretaries, he can’t get good staff, nobody knows what he is doing from one day to the next, he has no policy wins, our allies are alienated, our enimies are emboldened, the deficit is at crisis level during an expansion era, he’s pulling out of critical military areas while talking about undermining military readiness and of course he has the lowest support of the people in 72 freaking years. And that’s just for starters.

He is a terrible president is why he should resign. He sucks at being the president.

  5. A lot of the anger directed at Trump is because we know that he was the last gasp/best hope to actually stop the flow, and now it is illegals for decades to come as far as the eye can see. I mean, I dont think anyone is wishing we had elected Jeb Bush, or Kasich or whatever so that we could really git er done.

And yes the lefties are getting uppity now for all the predictable reasons, they know they dont need to even play the game of "we are serious about border security too, we just don't want a wall." Nope they are running out the clock and then it is "we are all for open borders, what are you going to do about it."

As I said couple days ago, this is America's "Angela Merkel moment." except the dumphuk Angela Merkel mentality is with the dem congress in this country rather than the executive branch as was the case in Germany at the time. Lefties peeing their pants and tingles going up their legs when Merkel gave the country away to invaders. Big multicultural cheschire cat grins on the faces of lefties. And then from there, they all began watching their country and culture circle the toilet bowl. Now Merkel keeps upping the amount she is paying for people to leave. Nice.

And Brexit was driven by uncontrolled immigration. Another country circling the toilet bowl and torn apart.

MORE TO COME. Our Merkel moment.

  7. Since they hate America and everything it stands for, that is good enough for them.
