Pelosi, DeFazio, Stark, 16 Democrats, transaction tax on options, futures, etc., quarter percent Sept. 25 (Bloomberg) -- A group of House Democrats is proposing to m... http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=a5UhcbI4jecU Dangerous ideas start with a small group of people.... The media and politicians on both sides have been constantly showing the clueless citizens how much to hate Wall Street. That is where all of the blame is going. That means some politicians hate all of us and all of us should be punished. No, it's not in the bill. This was a suggestion to Pelosi that started her salivating. Pelosi said it is likely to be explored later if this plan falters. Just the fact that a transaction tax has been suggested is literally a threat to my life as my health has gotten worse. Can't work a job, can't drive again, can't get my own groceries. I don't have much now and I've got nothing if they go back to the STET again. And some of you are talking about it just having to be a racial issue because how could anyone not see the utopia the Democrats could create if they could just get enough of the right people in office and majority power this time. I was once a Democrat until a few years out in the working world, mostly because my parents were Dems. I did not know any better at the time. As time went on, there were too many contradictions and questions about this utopia about wealth distribution. I thought that the harder I worked, the more money I would make. Instead, the law of diminishing returns took effect.
The truth is, if McCain was a Democrat and running against a Keyes or a J.C. Watts I'd have a big Keyes sign on my yard. I feel a tad guilty about Obama. Hell he'd be the first President who ever approached ME for a one on one chat. Just shows that personal contact doesn't necessarily mean a vote, lol.
I like what he said about women too-anti PC honesty-but no he isn't a friend of the trading industry. Any Party who parroted all summer about speculators driving up energy and now about short sellers contributing to the break are not Milt Friedman type policy makers......
I've spoken to him a handful of times from 98-04. The chat was at an Indian/Pakistani Parade in Chicago. It was moments before an ugly heated exchange between him and Keyes. I tried to find a photo online but the next days Chicago Tribune had them jawing it out with my arm in between them. I never got to see the television footage but I heard I was a prominent participant. Obama went ballistic at Keyes because Keyes kept teasing Obama over Obama's refusal to give Keyes six debates instead of four. In making his point Obama kept jabbing his index finger into Keyes' chest. It made Obama look like a friggin' bully. I wish Keyes had just whacked him.....
No, but they can find a scapegoat like nobody's business. Distract the public from the real problem(s)...
...or because he's an empty suit or a member of Rev. Wright's church or an ultra liberal or lacks experience or he wants to take my money and give it to people who don't fucking deserve it, or his questionable associations with terrorists or his drug use or his dad was a Muslim or he has an Arab name... Hell there are tons of reasons many won't vote for Osama. Being black is only one of them. Do you actually think you can "shame" us into voting for him - just because he is black?
