Big Mac pulls even in fresh AP Poll, read it and weep Pinko Bitches

  1. Yes, I'm aware. Kudos to the few Reps and fewer Dems who tried to stop this monster. Shame on the senate where it passed by 74-25...including Obama and McCcain votes
I'm also aware It was a proposal of the treasury dept of a Republican administration.

Again, Treasury sec could have left market forces sort through the mess. Wells Fargo and Bank of America would have survived. MS crashed and the world just fine........

I don't see the DEMs as the perfect solution. I see them as my way of punishing the party who betrayed his ideals. Moral Hazard, as it applies to political parties

  2. What a stupid xxxyyy this moron is. I'm really seeing all these attack dogs just messing up the forums, maybe they are pulling down a little spending money from MoveOn.org or something, getting paid by the word? The transaction tax was part of the thinking at the outset of the deliberations over the bailout, we had threads here on ET about it, we were emailing our representatives all weekend...

  3. It was in Defazio's letter NOT in the language of the Bill. CONTEXT. put things into their proper CONTEXT

  4. Doc there ain't 4 n's in all of IV.........:D

In my Chicago neighborhood Obama will get 85% of the vote. In my Florida neighborhood it'll probably be 65-35 McCain. It's a funny exercise in the demographics of attractiveness. EVERY good looking 30 something couple with the pristine MILF and cute kids are McCain signs (except for one of the 3 or so Jews around here) and EVERY ugly, Prius driving type hag has a Change or Obama sign displayed. It's like the View. The only chick on there anyone in their right mind wants to lay is the right-winger......

  8. Yeah I know, I was goggling for pictures depicting Jesus walking with dinosaurs when you interrupted me with your senseless drivel.
Basically, you talked to a friend, who heard from a friend, who was told by a coworker, a good man, married to his boss secretary, that the secretary's cousin who works as a congressional liaison in DC told them that the democrats wanted to implement a transaction. tax.
verifiable trail, Nah , no need. I can trust you, right ? crawl back to your hole. Sir

I'm very aware of Defazio's lunatic letter. The language was never on the bill itself.

I understand what you are saying. He floated the letter. It was not written into language because Nancy knew they could not get the bill passed with a punitive tax in it. Now to my point.

With Obama as prez, with a 60+ Senate, why would it not be written into a new tax bill? I believe it can, and if speculators (and short sellers) are still being blamed, it would make the perfect tax to show the average American that "we, the congress, will actively go after everyone we think is responsible."

  10. :) party of majority vs party of minorities.
We could wrap up this debate right here right now if everybody admitted the obvious, what I've been saying forever. It's ethnic.
Fiscal policy, foreign policy, social values. all pure drivel.
The fallacy most GOP voters commit and that'll come back to eventually bite them in the ass. Blacks are a minority, among minorities.
