Little doubt that Obama's scholastic achievements are well above average. Over the years I have seen and worked with many people who excelled in the controlled environment of the classroom and failed to live up to expectations in the real world. Given the sea change in public attitudes that brought an Obama presidency and a decidedly favorable congress, his administration really didn't deliver what was expected. I would not say that Obama's presidency was a failure as so much as it was a disappointment. Enter Trump as a result.
