So, my understanding is that a reconciliation bill cannot add to the deficit past the budget window. Try to remember republicans under Trump passed a tax cut package with a built in deficit of $1.5 trillion.

Am I missing something here? Not that I doubt BBB will be deficit neutral. Democrats are actually pretty good at this stuff.

Excuse me, but you made a point that has no meaning. No one believes for one second house republicans are going to play a role in a bundled package.

If BBB fell apart, maybe, but we are not there.

Sorry, but it’s not. Yours is a draft from September. See my link has today’s date on it and the lower total spending, etc.

If you delve in, you’ll notice no provisions for prescription drugs, etc in the updated bill I linked to.

Digging into this, a lot of people are going to be happy with $20k first time home owner grants through 2026 on page 761.

Awesome for Gen Zs that have caught the shaft with student loans etc…

According to CNN -- this is the latest draft updated for today's meeting. Take it up with them if you disagree. I will note that the PDF for the House Rules Committee Print is labeled October 28th at the url I posted (via CNN).

Read the latest text of the spending bill
From CNN's Lauren Fox and Annie Grayer
    https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/infrastructure-spending-bill-biden-10-28-21/

The Democrats' most updated text of the spending bill, based on the President's framework laid out this morning, has been published.

This is the text House Speaker Nancy Pelosi referred to in her news conference moments ago, and as she noted, this is not the final text — this is available for all members to look at and make suggestions and changes.

Read the bill text published by the Rules Committee here.
